The Festival provides a venue for local talent and helps cultivate Flint's local music scene. the festival also gives attendees a chance to see regional and national headliners perform. Food vendors, local non-profit organizations, and arts and handicraft vendors add to the magic and color of the Festival. Flint Jazz Festival brings together a diverse crowd of over 10,000 people in downtown Flint. The 2008 Festival will be the 27th Annual Flint Jazz Festival.

Bikes on the Bricks

The 2nd Annual Bikes on the Bricks is a one day event—Saturday, October 4. Time is to be determined. It is a motorcycle show and will feature an expanded Police Officer Motorcycle Competition. Prizes will be awarded in numerous categories and for the competition. There will also be music, food, motorcycle and sponsor displays and special motorcycle exhibits.

Students take an introductory workshop, view the Historical Presentation and view a preview of the Broadway style concert performance scheduled for Sunday evening.
