Albert Stephens

STEPHENS, Albert "AL" M. - Age 86, of Falmouth, MI formerly of Linden, died Monday, March 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, March 17, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Reverend Keith McKinnies officiating. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Thursday and 11AM until time of service on Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation. Albert was born November 14, 1930 in Robinson, IL, the son of the late Chauncey and Ollie May (Little) Stephens. Mr. Stephens Married Kathleen "Joyce" Polsgrove on December 5, 1955 in Angola IN. Al proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Stephens was self-employed in the service station business for 43 years in the Flint and Grand Blanc area, owning Fenton Road Mobil. He likes going down state on Thursdays, stopping in Clio for doughnuts, spending the morning at Creek Auto with his friend Randy Fowler and visiting with friends and the people he knew when he was in business. Al went through the Police Academy in Flint and worked as a reserve officer for the Flint Police, Fenton Police and Atlas Police Departments with Cliff Arthur. Surviving are: wife of 63 years Joyce of Falmouth; son, James wife Lisa Stephens of Davison, grandsons, Caleb and Darby Stephens; sister Ramona Boes of AZ; sister-in-law Maria Stephens and Mike Stephens of Falmouth and several other nieces and nephews .
