SPRINGER, Clarence Thomas "Tom" - Age 76, of The Villages, FL formerly of Fenton, died Sunday, January 21, 2018. No service will be held. Visitation will be held at Sharp Home Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Diabetes Association. Tom was born November 29, 1941 in Detroit, the son of Clarence and Evelyn (Hanzey) Springer. He married Carol A. Nicolai December 2, 1961 in Livonia. He had resided in The Villages, FL for the past 3 years, coming from Fenton. He retired from GM Milford Proving Grounds after 36 years of service. Tom was member of the Lake Shannon Sportsmen Club and the Cloud Hoppers Flying Club in Holly. He also enjoyed golfing. Surviving are: wife, Carol; daughter, Lisa and husband John Hinds of Indianapolis, IN; son, Scott Springer of Fenton; grandchildren, Eric, Daniel, and Michael Springer and Allison Distefano; sister, Edna and husband Ken Watterson of Howell; and many nieces and nephews.
