Donald Martin

MARTIN, Donald B. - Age 81 of Flint Twp., passed away December 8, 2017 peacefully with his family at his side. Born to David and Amelia Martin, youngest of 12 children. He was raised with a strong Christian belief and a great work ethic. Don met his soulmate Violet "Vi" and they have had a wonderful life for 59 1/2 years. They were seen everywhere, always together enjoying life. Don was an electrical contractor, he also built many homes and could fix anything. Since his retirement, he took up bike riding and visiting his Mc Donald's buddies. Don and Vi have enjoyed traveling in several different motor homes over 45 years, and made lasting friendships. Don proudly served in the Michigan National Guard. There has never been a man that loved God, his family, friends, and his German brotherhood more than Don. Until we meet again - he is survived by: his wife Vi; their son, Rick (Donna); his beautiful grand-daughter, Michelle (David) Correll; many loving and precious nieces and nephews. Don lived by Romans 13:8. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering from 10 AM until 1 PM Monday December 11 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6273 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Per Don's wishes cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to McLaren Hospitality House, G 3178 Beecher Road. Flint, MI 48532 or a charity of your choice.
