Obituary for Larry William Kennedy Sr.

KENNEDY, Larry William, Sr. -- Age 74, of Flint, died May 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3PM Saturday, May 19 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Harold Burkholder officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday and 2 PM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Larry was born October 5, 1943 in Flint, the son of John N. and Orthella L. (Swovenland) Kennedy. He resided in Flint most of his life. Larry graduated in 1961 from Lapeer High School, and obtained an Associates degree from Mott Community College in Accounting. He was a Fork Truck Operator at GM Truck and Bus for 30 plus years. He owned and operated Larry's Tax Service for many years. He was very active in the AA Community being sober for 34 years and 10 months. Larry was an avid baseball card collector and a Detroit Tiger fan.

He is survived by daughter, Jamie Ruth Isaacson of Flint Township; 2 granddaughters, Alyssa Lyn Isaacson of Flint Township, Tessa Ruth Isaacson of Flint Township; brother, Robert "Bob" Kennedy (Carolyn) of Arizona: several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Jr; granddaughter, Jessica Ann Buby; brother, Jack Kennedy; sister, Darlene Kennedy.
