KELLER, Louise May (nee Warrington); Born in Detroit, MI February 21, 1928; Died November 18, 2017; Preceded in death by husband Robert, parents Howard and Blanche Warrington, and brothers Gilbert and Glenn. Survived by sons James (Connie) and Steven (Vickie), daughter Constance (Ernie), grandchildren Aaron, Christopher, Katherine, Jacqueline (Jonathan), Anne (Michael), Rebecca, Carolyn (Daniel) and Robert, as well as great-grandsons Domenic, Jack, Theodore, Calvin, sisters-in-law Betty, Donna, and Doris, and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was raised in Detroit and attended Denby High School where she obtained a Varsity Letter for Swimming. She worked at Carboloy for several years retiring from the work force to raise a family. As a young mother, she threw herself into church work serving as a Sunday School Teacher at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. When the family moved to Berkley in 1959, Louise became active with St. Paul (Royal Oak) Lutheran Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, and was a co-founder of the church's Tuesday night "School of Religion". Her role expanded over time and she served as Chairwoman of St. Paul's Women's Guild for many years. Never one to shirk from work, her jobs included managing the Guild's budget as well as selling bricks to raise money for a new church building. Upon retirement, she and Robert moved to Argentine Township in the 1980s, joining Hope Lutheran Church where she resumed her ministry role including Treasurer of the Congregation, Chairwoman of the Women's Altar Guild, Treasurer of the Women's Ministry, as well as numerous other committees. A lifetime sports enthusiast, Louise enjoyed swimming, bowling and golf in her free time. Funeral services will be he held 11 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Deacon Paul Kollek will officiate. Visitation will be held 3-5 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden and from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
