KLUG, Maxine - Age 96, of Hartland, died May 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Maxine was born into a large family on September 26, 1920 in Imlay City. She retired from General Motors Executive Cafeteria. Maxine enjoyed dancing (especially line dancing), country music, concerts at fairgrounds, spending time with her grandkids, playing yahtzee, racko, bingo (for candy), aggravation, hearts and euchre. She was a long time resident of Harrison, MI and Haines City, FL. In Florida she participated in most of the parades (dressed in costume) riding her tricycle. She even acted in a few plays. She always made time for her grandchildren, whether it was snowmobiling, golfing, miniature golf, swimming or jarts. She had many friends that she met in Florida and Michigan and maintained long relationships with them. She loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Boratynski; son, Albert Klug; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister, Lanorma Fuller. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 70 years, Leonard A. Klug; daughter, Lorraine Jelneck.
