She was the second daughter of the growing family, soon to have four beautiful daughters. Rosalie was a good student and after school she worked at Kresges store. On April 30, 1949 she married her sweetheart, Nicholas W. Waskul. The young couple loved children and soon had their first daughter, Patricia. Patricia was joined by 6 siblings over the next 20 years. During this time, Nicholas' parents unexpectedly died and his triplet sisters, DiAnn, Donna, and Delores joined the family. These children were Rosalie's pride and joy. With her husband working long hours to provide for the family and attending college, Rosalie lovingly took care of the house and children. She became an excellent cook and would make cuisines from different cultures. Rosalie learned to crochet, knit, sew and would make clothing for all of her children. She became an accomplished artist and finished many oil paintings which were treasured by the family. Rosalie loved history and she and Nicholas were members of the Henry Ford Museum and Village. When Nicholas retired from Ford Motor company, they traveled throughout the United States, including Hawaii. They also traveled through much of Europe, Australia, and Fiji. Rosalie's creativity and beauty is reflected in the lives of: her children, Patricia McDonnell (Steve) of Fife Lake, Pamela Holmes (Dann) of Farmington Hills, Karen Pringle (Jeff) of Carleton, Joseph Brian Waskul (Cindy) of Dearborn, and Cheryl Schaeffer of Pine Grove, PA; grandchildren, Steve McDonnell and Terry McDonnell, Cristina Merkle, James Waskul and Nicholas Waskul, Matthew Holmes, Christopher Waskul, Victoria Thompson, Sara Cote, Jeffrey Pringle, Vanya Waskul and Kyna Waskul, Ian Coderre, Amber Minnich, Rachael Schaeffer; and 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Hathaway of Ohio.
