Theodore Jankowski

Jankowski, Theodore - Age 72, died Sunday, September 17, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Visitation 2-8PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Carriage Town Ministries or the Upper Peninsula Bible Camp. Ted was born on December 22, 1944 in Wayne County, the son of Theodore and Margaret (O'Dell) Jankowski. He married Sandra Sullivan in Flint on April 9th,1966. Ted is a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany. He worked for 36 years for Buick and was a volunteer at Genesys Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed volunteering at Dillon Elementary School in his grandson's classroom as well as his daughter's classroom. Ted was a member of the Swartz Creek Senior Center where he participated in Tah Chi and toning. He enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA and Swartz Creek Middle School as well as Mall walking. He also enjoyed traveling with his family and helping people in general. Ted loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are wife, Sandra; children; Theodore Jankowski Jr., Timothy (Melissa) Jankowski, Stephanie (Alan) Gibbs; six grandchildren, Andrew, Ainsley, Jacob, Aaron, Leah and Sara, siblings; Sue Davis, Kathy (Harold) Lixey, Jennifer (Al) Watkins and Larry Jones.
