Theresa Holtzmann

Holtzmann, Theresa Marcella - Age 93 , of Fenton, died March 7, 2018. Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, June 16 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Visitation and Rosary will be 5-8 PM Friday, June 15 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton . In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army, Paralyzed Veterans of America (pva.org) or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Theresa was born November 8, 1924 in Pennsylvania the daughter of Wilbert and Margaret (Lynd) Feskorn. She was a graduate of Western High School in Detroit.She married Harrison N. Holtzmann on September 14, 1946 in Detroit; he preceded her in death in 1999. After raising her family Theresa went to work in the Interior Design Studio in Hudsons in the Northland Mall in Southfield. She retired as their office manager. Theresa was a prolific reader of the classics. She was an avid sports fan, particularly fond of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. She loved card games, especially UNO with the grandkids. Theresa actively volunteered her entire life. She tutored, worked in the hospital gift shop, volunteered time with the church, and the Fenton Library. She had a talent for baking cookies, pies, and the best chocolate cake ever. Her family was most important, they were the central force in her life. Surviving are: children, Linda O'Connor of Fenton, Patrick (Pamela) Holtzmann of Chicago, IL, Charles (Christine) Holtzmann of Waterford, Thomas (Rebecca) Holtzmann of Brighton, Michael Holtzmann of Chicago, IL, Anne (Danny) McCarthy of Commerce Township; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Jeanne) Feskorn, Shirley Flannigan; Delores (Edwin) Ulshafer; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Wilbert and Charles and son-in-law Jack O'Connor. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
