MCCARY, Antonietta  Age 77, of Swartz Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at her residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, November 13, 2004 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Roman Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Her final resting place will be New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-9 PM Thursday and 12-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed 6 PM Friday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. McCary was born October 28, 1927 in Valenzano, Italy. She met John Wesley McCary during World War II where he was stationed in Italy. They married on June 1, 1945, came to the United States in 1945 after the end of the war and resided in Alabama until 1953 when they relocated to Flint, MI. They moved to the Swartz Creek area in 1972. She has been an active member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Wesley McCary; parents, Antonio and Vincenza Lonigro. Surviving are: seven children, Mary Ann MacDonald of Flint, Peggy and husband, John Ritter of Byron, Johnnie McCary and wife, Brenda of Millington, Virginia and husband, Mike Hicks of Clio, Toni and husband, Steve Ellsworth of Oak Harbor, WA, Tina and husband, Mike Brown of Laingsburg, Catherine Kimbrue of Swartz Creek; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Caterina Brandonisio of Valenzano, Italy, Brigida Capozzi of Caracas, Venezuela; brother, Giovanni Lonigro and wife, Filomena of Roseville, MI. several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank friends and family for their support during this very difficult time and especially the care given from McLaren Visiting Nurses and Hospice. A very special thank you to Dr. Ravikumar Peddireddy MD whom we commend for his compassionate and professional care that he has provided our mother over the last several years.
