JAEGER, Arnold -- Age 80, of Flushing, died February 4, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, February 9 at the German Church of God, 2393 S. Elms Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor H.D. Nimz officiating. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Gideons International or Carriage Town Ministries. Arnold was born December 26, 1932 in Poland the youngest of five children of Rudolf and Aline (Bockrand) Jaeger. He came to the United States in 1955 and became an American Citizen on September 8, 1965. He was married to Linda Mueller on September 23, 1961 in Flint. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior as a young man. He attended the German Church of God where he humbly applied his God given talents in the furtherance of God's kingdom. He touched the lives of many people through his quiet demeanor and hard work. Arnold worked as a stone mason and was known for his creative endeavors in fieldstone; his specialty being fireplaces. He learned his craft as a young man in Germany. His dedication to his family and their well being led him to also work for 29 years at GM Truck and Bus. He retired in 1994. He enjoyed his family, gardening, nature, and traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Surviving are: wife Linda; two daughters, Rosalie and husband David Strzelecki, Karin and husband George Sippert; two grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Sippert; sister Edith Stabel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alma Krueger, Gary and Edith Mueller, Erika and Harold Kilp, Ursula Mueller; and many nieces and nephews in U.S. and Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brothers-in-law, Alma and Emil Strunk, Frank Stabel, Reinhold Mueller, and Erwin Krueger.
