McBride, Aubrey A. --Age 84, of Durand, passed away Thursday September 26, 2013 at Genesys Health Park, Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday September 30, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 10:00AM until time of service. Entombment in Crestwood Cemetery will follow. Mr. McBride was born March 30, 1929 in Portageville, Missouri, the son of the late Aughtie Lee and Georgia Beatrice (McClure) McBride. He served as a corporal from 1951 until 1956 in the United States Army 7th division in central Korea, earning several medals, including a purple heart. He worked for Buick from 1950 until 1993. Aubrey enjoyed golfing and gardening. He was a loving and dedicated father and grandfather. He left behind his six children, Mike Greene, Pam (Terry) Harrison, Ron McBride, Glen (Kathy) Mcbride, Tom McBride and Lisa McBride, and two stepchildren Fern (Tim) Shaffer and Ken (Sandy) Martin; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother Harvey (Mary) McBride, and his wife Helen.
