Avanell Arnett

ARNETT, Avanell - age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Durand Senior Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 4-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Arnett was born July 10, 1927 in Royalton, Kentucky, the daughter of Ballard and Josephine (Lyknis) Whitt. She married Jack Arnett on December 27, 1949 in Indiana and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1990. Surviving are: four children, Barbara Arnett of Little Rock, AR, Pamela and husband, Steve Taylor of Flint, Gregory Arnett and wife, Kathy of Swartz Creek, Darrell Arnett and wife, Marge of Vassar; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Sasha), Brad, Jason (Lucy), Teresa (Scott), Jamie (Heather), Michael (Carmen), Wesley (Ashley), and Mariah; five great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony Whitt of IN; sister, Juanitta Weise of AZ; many nieces and nephews.
