Basil Blanchard

BLANCHARD, Basil "Buck" - Age 93, formerly of Swartz Creek, died November 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 4, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the V.F.W. Post of one's choice. Basil was born in Swartz Creek, the son of Glenn and Sarah (Smith) Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard retired from Hyper Tool after 59 years of service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife, Earleen; sons, Bruce (Anne) Blanchard and Roger Blanchard; sister, Majel Beal; grandchildren, Steven (Tanya) Blanchard, Kristin (Donald Roach) Blanchard; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Blanchard.
