Bernard JOHNSON

JOHNSON, Bernard - Age 86, of Medina, OH, formerly of Gladwin, MI, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at his daughter's home in Medina Ohio. Services will be held 3 pm Saturday, November 12 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warrior Project. Bernard was born August 5, 1925 in Amistad, NM, the son of Ervin and Susannah (Gill) Johnson. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and retired from the City of Flint Fire Department. Surviving are: sons, Bruce (Cheryl) Johnson of Montrose, Larry (Penny) Wade of South Carolina; daughters, Anna (Gary) Orvis of Swartz Creek, Patty Whitlock (Deborah) of Owosso, Bonnie (Howard) VanderVliet of Colorado, Patricia Wade of Flint, Dawn (Randy) Selves of OH; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
