Bernard VEJNOVICH

VEJNOVICH, Bernard - Age 87, of Montrose, died Monday, April 6, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Susan Liddums officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-8 PM and Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Mr. Vejnovich was born June 17, 1921 St. Paul, MN, the son of Sam and Josephine (Brania) Vejnovich. He married Lorraine Lindow June 14, 1941 in Flint and she preceded him in death May 3, 1988, he then married Lillian Brookman May 23, 1990 in Flint and she preceded him in death January 12, 2004. He has resided in Montrose since 1990, coming from Grand Blanc. Mr. Vejnovich retired from AC Spark Plug after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of WWII service in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 651. Mr. Vejnovich also enjoyed Square Dancing. Surviving are: son, Kevin and wife Cathy Vejnovich of Lennon; granddaughter, Katie and husband Joe Barth of Lennon; brother, Frank and wife Marianne Vejnovich of Flushing; sister, Mildred Clifford of Flushing; sister-in-law, Christine Vejnovich of Florida; step daughters, Jeri and husband Ron Cooper of Montrose and Terrie Rohlfs of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Gerry Nottingham of Flint.
