CRAMER, Betty Jane -- Age 88, of Fenton, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Fenton Extended Care. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-8 PM Wednesday. A memorial service under the auspices of O.E.S. Chapter 175 will be held 7:30 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association. Betty was born November 3, 1920 in Lancaster, Ohio the daughter of Earl and Agnes May (Craiglow) Garling. She was a 1938 graduate of Central High School. Betty married LaVern C. Cramer on July 16, 1938 in Goshen, IN. She had worked in real estate. She was known as the 'Candy Lady' for the homemade candy that she made for years. She was a life member of the Fenton VFW Curtis Wolverton Post 3243 Auxiliary, the Fenton Eagles, and was a member of the O.E.S. Chapter 175. Surviving are: husband Lavern; three sons, Carl and wife Sharon of Tucson, AZ, Frank and wife Gracy of Grand Blanc, Chester and wife Joy of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Carol of Millington; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Libra Cramer of Swartz Creek; special niece May Ellen George; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chet and Bob Garling; son Marvin; grandson, Troy; and sister, Edna Canja.
