CANEPA, Bill - Age 70, of Fenton, passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2013. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, Lupus Foundation of America or Wounded Warrior Project. Bill was born January 14, 1943 in Detroit, the son of Frank and Frances (Gambino) Canepa. He was married to Sharon Nassar on May 6, 1966 and she preceded him in death on February 29, 2008. Bill retired from General Motors/Milford Proving Grounds with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming and barbecuing. He was a HAM Radio operator, loved Tigers Baseball and U of M Football. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are: daughters, Melissa and husband Dwayne Rayner, Christina and husband Matthew Mikols; grandchildren, Ashley and Thomas; sister, Kitty and husband Jerry Durovka; niece, Terry Durovka; nephews, Mark and Jerry Durovka; lifelong friend, Scott and wife Georgie Rhodes.
