Bobby Talsma

TALSMA, Bobby  age 80, of Hartland, died Monday, October 09, 2006 at University of Michigan Hospitals after a yearlong battle with Acute Leukemia. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 13667 Highland Rd., Hartland with Rev. Frank Pies and Rev. William Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Our Savior Lutheran Day School Building Fund. Mr. Talsma was born July 4, 1926 in Mt. Morris, the son of John and Emma (Graham) Talsma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on a Merchant ship at the age of 17 during World War II. Mr. Talsma married Donna Lambert. Surviving are: wife, Donna of Hartland; four children, Rick Talsma of Toledo, OH, Robin Talsma of Honor, MI, Randi Seifert of New Hudson, Rebecca (Timothy) Pies of Hartland; six grandchildren, Alex, Andy, Seth, Rachel, Corey and Kallyn; two brothers, Keith (Rita) Talsma of Mayville, Jack (Elaine) Talsma of Lady Lake, FL; step-siblings, John (Dorothy) West, Audrey (Charles) Harper, Beatrice (Douglas) Jones, Marion Luce.
