Cecil SANDERS

SANDERS, Cecil, age 79 of Holly, a loving father and grandfather, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. He was born in North Carolina on December 2, 1930 the son of Uless and Nannie (Carpenter) Sanders. Mr. Sanders has lived in the Waterford and Holly area for many years. He was a supervisor at General Motors Corp retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid walleye fisherman. Surviving are: two sons, Dale (Toni) Sanders of Orlando, Florida David (Bonnie) Sanders of Centralia, Missouri; two daughters, Cynthia (James) Hale and Kristy Sanders, both of Flint. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Beulah Mae Ledbetter of Ohio. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William Sanders in 2001 and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation with the family at the funeral home will be 6 to 8 P.M.
