SMITH, Christopher C. - beloved son of Jerry and Ginny Smith, age 39, of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be held 12 noon Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 W. Court St., Flint with Dr. Steven J. Buck officiating. The family will receive friends  at the church from 10 AM Thursday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Court Street United Methodist Church or the Brain Injury Association of Michigan. Christopher was born April 20, 1968 in Flint, the son of Gerald T. and Virginia R. (Gill) Smith and has lived in the Flint area most of his life. He was a 1986 graduate of Flushing High School where he sang with the Madrigals and the Acappella Choir. Christopher attended University of Michigan - Flint and Michigan State University. He loved U of M Football, his grandparent's cottage in Northern Michigan, spending time with his dog "Zippy" and enjoying his music. Surviving are: parents, Jerry and Ginny of Grand Blanc; sister, Bridget and husband, Dr. Jason Evans of Clarkston; three nieces and one nephew; Emma, Nicholas, Lydia and Katelyn Evans; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents and  a nephew, Thomas Michael Johnson Evans. Christopher was grateful and comforted by the fellowship he received from his Twelve-Step programs and all those that supported him through the years.
