Clarence Castle

January 8, 1928 — February 7, 2016

CASTLE, Clarence Robert - Age 88, of Tawas, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday evening, February 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, February 13th at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be Friday, February 12th from 2-7PM. Clarence was born January 8, 1928 in Flint to parents John and Emily (Fischer) Castle. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School & a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Margaret Ann Fraser on April 24, 1954 and spent the next 54 years happily married to the love of his life until her death August 28, 2008. Clarence resided in the Flint area until he retired 34 years later from Sears & Roebuck in 1982. He then relocated to his very own personal paradise, Bass Lake. There he and his wife became very involved members of their wonderful community, where he enjoyed some of the best hunting, fishing and people Northern Michigan had to offer. Clarence was an amazing man that will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him. Surviving are: Three children: Keith Castle of Grand Blanc, Karen Castle (Robert Jacobs) of National City, & Kenneth Castle (Renee Besson) of Flint. Two grandchildren, Kari Hajdino (Shad Wallen) of Swartz Creek, Brandon (Olivia) Webb of Elizabeth City, NC.; Three great-grandchildren; Sayde Barclay, Gabrielle Wallen, & Ellie Webb. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; wife; Sister Virginia Norton; and brother, John Castle. The family asks you to come and celebrate the life of Clarence Robert Castle with them.
