MEAD, Clarendon Ray "Clare" - Age 47, of Linden, died Saturday, June 2, 2012. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM Wednesday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Clare R. Mead Memorial Fund. Clare was born January 13, 1965 the son of Hubert W. and Margaret L. (Crandall) Mead. He was a 1983 graduate of Linden High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are: 5 children, Whitney Mead of Flint, Craig Mead of Linden, Rachel Mead of Durand, Travis Mead of Durand and Jessica Fremd of Durand; 3 grandchildren, Harlee, Parker, Emma and one on the way; brother, Jon and wife Loretta Mead of Linden; his children's mother's, Penny Johnson of Linden and Jennifer Michael of Durand.
