Claribel Hoffman

HOFFMAN, Claribel Louise (Phillips) of Linden, age 89, died November 27, 2008 at Crestmont Care Center. Funeral Services will be at 11:30, Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday and 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home on Monday. Born the daughter of Howard and Cecil (Plumb) Sharp in Burton Township on November 2, 1919. She married Edwin Phillips in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1981. In 1986 she married Edward Hoffman and he preceded her in death in 1988. She lived in Linden and Fenton most of her life, she was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church and was employed by Fenton Industries where she retired in 1981. She is survived by her sister and husband Dorothy and Norm Jones of Gaines, sister-in-law Reva Sharp of Arizona and Corunna, sister-in-law Carolyn Sharp of Gaines and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Cecil Sharp, brothers Ralph, Charles, Kenneth, and Curtis Sharp and her sisters Pauline Proffer and Geraldine Malachowski and also her special companion Donald E. Rickabus, earlier this month due to an automobile accident. Contributions by those desiring may be made to Linden Presbyterian Church.
