Daniel Nielsen

NIELSEN, Daniel Dale- Age 57, of Flint, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Genesys Health Park.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday and 11 AM until time of service Saturday.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Daniel D. Nielsen Memorial Fund.  Daniel was born April 27, 1950 in Flint, the son of Glen and Myrtle (Burwell) Nielsen.  He had resided in Flint his entire life.  He was a 1969 graduate of Bendle High School.  He was a member of the Teamsters Local #332 and he was a avid outdoorsman.  Surviving are:  3 children, Gary Nielsen of Swartz Creek, Daniel Nielsen of Davison, Christina Nielsen of Flint; 11 grandchildren; mother, Myrtle Nielsen of Davison; brother, George LaFave of Wisconsin; niece, Dori Walter of Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Nielsen.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
