WARD, David Royce - Age 79, of Fenton, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Marvin Herman officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 12-3 and 5-7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. David was born October 30, 1936 in Alma, the son of Dale and Leona (Mecomber) Ward. He was a graduate of Flint Mandeville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. David married Marilyn Lohmier September 10, 1961 in Reno, NV. He was a self employed general contractor for many years. He had resided in Fenton since 1969 coming from San Francisco, CA. Surviving are: his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; 5 sons, David Ward of Fenton, Dennis Ward of Fenton, Erick and wife Jennifer Ward of Linden, Steven and wife Susan Robin of Texas, and Michael Cortez of California; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Patricia, Erick, Rachel, Tiffany, Angela, and Jeremy; 2 great grandchildren, Makenzie and Skylar; sister, Sharon Stevenson of Dexter, sister-in-law, Erma Ward of Flint; and several nieces and cousins.
