Diane Barkman

Barkman,  Diane J., age 39 of Burton, died Tuesday March 6, 2007 at Genesys Health Park following a lengthy illness.  She was born on April 7, 1967 in Alma, Michigan the daughter of Curt and Iva (Baulitz) Moreland.  She has lived in the Flint area many years. Diane had been employed at the former St. Joseph Hospital as a registered nurse.  She was a member of the South Flint Nazarene Church.  Surviving is her husband Daniel Barkman, her mother, Iva Moreland, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Joanne Barkman.  Also surviving surviving is a sister Debbie Cesar (John) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Bentley Wesleyan Church at 6150 Lapeer Rd., Burton.  Pastor Gary Currell will officiate and burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park.  Diane's family will receive friends at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Twp. from 3 to 8 P.M. tonight.  Friday, Diane will lie in state at the church from 10 A.M. to service time.  Her family wishes to thank the staff  & nurses of Genesys ICU and Davita Dialysis Center for all their loving care and kindness.  Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are being accepted by her family.  On line condolences may be posted for the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
