MILLER, Diane Marie, (Schowalter) age 65, of Burton, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at Fostrian Manor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Family Life Center, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton. Fr. Steve Anderson celebrant.Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8PM and Monday 1-8PM at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp., and 10AM until time of Mass Tuesday at the Holy Redeemer Family Life Center. A rosary will be prayed 7:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew Wayne Banacki Scholarship Fund. Diane was born August 22, 1946 in Flint the daughter of the late Henry Louis and Anne Clara (Urbanik) Schowalter. She was a 1964 graduate of St. Agnes High School. Diane married John Miller in Flint on October 22, 1966 and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2011. She was employed as a pharmacy technician by Perry Drugs and later Rite Aid until her retirement. Diane was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, crocheting and watching the Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. More than anything she loved her children, grandchildren and spending time with family. Diane is survived by her daughter, Christine (Brian) Williams of WA; son, Michael Miller of Burton; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin, Alexis Williams, Bella, Bryce Green; brother, Henry Schowalter of Swartz Creek; sister, Eva (Bruce) Jackson of Swartz Creek; sister, Teresa (Phillip) Banacki of Swartz Creek; brother, Mark (Susan) Schowalter of Flint Twp., brother, Gregory (Tammy) Schowalter of Davison; sister-in-law, Rose Marie (Sid) Pharr of Flint, brother-in-law, Gerard (Jackie) Wrice of Swartz Creek; 2 aunts, Virginia Dillon of Davison and Josephine Harchick of Flint; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
