Donald Munro

January 12, 1931 — October 9, 2007

MUNRO- Donald Campbell- Age 76, of Flint, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Home And Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.  Rev. Allen Sudmann officiating, assisted by Rev. Jason Rohde.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 - 8:00 PM Sunday.  Mr. Munro was born January 12, 1931 in Flint, the son of Alfred and Catherine (Beattie) Munro.  He married Clara I. Miller October 30, 1949 in Flint.  He has resided in Flint his entire life.  He retired from General Motors as a Mechanical Engineer.  He attended Davison Missionary Church, and was a charter member of Cross Church, attending regularly until the time of his illness.  At Cross Church he served on the Official Church Board as Christian Education Chairman, taught Sunday School for many years.  He was also active in many activities at Hamady High School, especially, sports, cub scouts, boy scouts, PTA, etc.  Surviving are: his wife of 58 years, Clara I; he was preceded by his son, Donald, Jr., surviving are Donald, Jr.'s children, Rachelle C. and husband Ed Kustrzyk of Royal Oak and Tiffany B. Munro and fiance Tony Norris of Grand Blanc; surviving son, Ronald Miller Munro of Whitmore Lake and his children, Ryan M. Munro of Fenton and Holly M. Munro of Tallahassee, FL; brother, William W. and wife Julie Munro of Fenton; many dear nieces and nephews, and their families; special loved ones, brother-in-law, Harold Miller of Swartz Creek, Rhonda and John Livingston of Grand Blanc, Terry Munro of Fenton, Debra Ferrer of Fort Myers, FL, Larry and Jan Bush of Swartz Creek.  He was also preceded in death by his parents.  Special thanks to Dr. Barry Miller, Dr. Wayne Breece and their staffs, for many years of medical care.  "Online condolences and tributes may be posted on the Obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com".
