WALTON, Dorene Ila -- Age 82, of Flint Township, died April 27, 2007 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 1 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Gerald Hodgeson officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Visiting Nurses or the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Walton was born November 5, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Burleigh and Jeanette (Glosch) Sprague. She was a 1942 graduate of Dye High School. She was married to Sidney Walton on September 7, 1946 in Flint. Mrs. Walton volunteered with the Red Cross for many years. Surviving are: husband Sidney; three daughters, Debra Russell of Flint Township, Linda and husband Dennis Lambert of Vassar, Paula and husband Tab Surface of Swartz Creek; six grandchildren, Sara and husband Jason Groulx, Brandon Russell and wife Melissa, Christopher Walton and wife Jillian, Cody Surface, Cade Surface, Camry Surface; one great-grandchild, Halli Hood.
