LUCAS, Dorothy - Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, August 9, 2007 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 7563 Mary St., Swartz Creek with Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 6-9PM Tuesday, 1-5 and 6-9PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A Rosary will be prayed 7:30PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Kidney Foundation or Genesee County American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Lucas was born September 24, 1919 in St. Petersburg, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Mary Dmoch. She had attended All Saints and graduated from Northern High School in 1938. She married William Lucas on May 4, 1940 at All Saints in Flint and he preceded her in death June 12, 1995. She had lived in Swartz Creek the last 33 years. She had been a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Lucas had been employed by GM Ternstedt for several years. Surviving are 4 children, Marie A. Lucas of Swartz Creek,. Carole A. and husband James Baliko of Grand Blanc, William C., II and wife Kathleen Lucas of Mt. Morris, John J.Lucas of New York, NY; grandchildren, Brian and wife Jennifer, Keith and wife Kristin, Douglas, Lori and husband Michael, Darin, Alicia and Billie Marie; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Dmoch of Flushing; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Cecelia Yorko, Robert, Raymond, Frank, Anthony and John Dmoch, Justine Baxter, Peggy Shipton and Walter Dmoch.
