Edith Demock

DEMOCK, Edith Mabel (Baxter) Age 102, of Flint Township, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 3 PM and 4 to 7 PM Friday. Edith was born in Flint on July 28, 1913, the daughter of Lora and George Baxter. She married Edward Demock on July 29, 1933, and they were married for over 70 years. Edie worked in the communications department for Genesee County Sheriff Department, retiring in 1976. She was a member of The Community of Christ Church. Edie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, receiving her greatest joy from her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her son Dennis and wife Linda of Grand Haven, daughter Lora McMahan and husband Charlie of Flint Township, and daughter Patricia Haeberlein of Bangor, Maine. She also leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren Jessica McMahan, Katie Schenkel and husband Justin, Robert Haeberlein III and wife Nicole, Holly Haeberlein, Mary Jane Evink and husband Steve, Sally Singerling and husband John, and great grandchildren Miles and Johanna Evink and Ellie and Mia Singerling. Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward (Eddie), her parents, her brothers, R.C., J.D., Albert, and Chester Baxter, and her sister Lillian Grant.
