Elaine was born June 30, 1940 in Detroit, the daughter of Benard and Marion (Eberst) Ellingson. She married James Idoni on November 27, 1959 in Roseville. She was the love of her husband's life--his very heart. Together they raised and nurtured five sons. Elaine was a woman who lived a strong Christian life. She was an advocate for Christian values and was not afraid to promote them in a public forum. Elaine held a special place in her heart for the Jewish people, having visited Israel 15 times and often taking others with her. She was forever thankful to God for her family and friends and wanted it to be said of her, "she prayed". Surviving are her loving husband of 47 years, James; 5 sons, Jim (Heather), Chris (Patti), Joel (Vivian), Peter (Joely) Matthew (Marni); 18 grandchildren, Rachel, Bethany, Jacob, Ben, Emily, Carman, Elaina, Madison, Donna, Angelo, Hannah, Luke, Gabe, Paul, Angelina, Val, Rocco and Chloe; brother, Ted Ellingson; sister, Melinda (Joe) D'Alessandro; sister-in-law, Pinky (David) Shiveley; brother-in-law, William (Sue) Idoni.
