Evelyn Snider

SNIDER, Evelyn M., age 86 of Flint, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Riverbend Rehabilitation Center in Grand Blanc.  Mrs. Snider was born in Bad Axe on September 15, 1921 the daughter of Thaddeus C. and Almeda M. (Chaffee Miller) Fisher.  She has been a Flint area resident since 1974.  She was married to Melvin Snider and he preceded her in death in 1975.  Mrs. Snider was a musician and an entertainer for over 50 years and went by the stage name of "Lyn Snyder"  She was a member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 57 in Saginaw and Local 542 in Flint.  In 1989 She was crowned Ms Senior Michigan.  Surviving are her three children:  Dennis Snider (Linda) of Flint, Roxanne Holbrook of Grand Rapids and Jacquelyn Eppich (Randall) of Shelby Twp.,MI.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews along with 2 sisters-in-law; Greda Sowden and Gertrude Bowron.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2007 from the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Twp.  Burial will take place in Sunset Hills Cemetery.  Friends may visit the funeral home from 6 to 9 P.M. tonight and Saturday from 10 A.M. to service time.  Online condolences or tributes may be posted on the obituary page of sharpfuneralhomes.com
