Fannie Shelton

SHELTON,  Fannie, age 86 of Burton,  died at home on Friday, March 2, 2007. Mrs. Shelton was born on October 15, 1920 in Stokes County, North Carolina the daughter of Boyd and Minnie (Stewart) Pegram.  She has been a Flint area resident since 1963.  Mrs. Shelton was a longtime member of Eastgate Baptist Church where she was Educational Director for many years.  She enjoyed crafts,sewing and reading,  but most of all enjoyed the love of her family and her church.  Surviving are her three children:  Linda Sefcik (Donald) of Grand Blanc, Raymond Shelton, Jr. (Jo) of Southgate and Boyd Shelton (Delores) of Burton.  also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Eddie Shelton, Chris Shelton, Sarah Brackenridge and Alice Shelton.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Shelton, Sr. a grandson, Timothy Shelton and 3 brothers.  Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2007 at the Eastgate Baptist Church at 4426 E. Atherton Rd.,  Pastor Levi Parish will officiate.  Services will conclude at the church.  Memorial contributions may be offered to Eastgate Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc, Twp. from 2 to 8 P.M. today and Sunday at the church from 2:00 P.M. to service time.
