Frank Schipani

SCHIPANI, Frank - Age 90, of Howell, died Sunday, December 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Frank C. Schipani officiating. Burial immediately following in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-9 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to LACASA Center, 2895 W. Grand River Ave. Howell, MI 48843. Frank was born July 26, 1924 in Lumberport, WV the son of Anthony and Assunta (Tersi) Schipani. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He married Lenita Elain Snyder September 16, 1946 in Maryland. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service and Oakland County Sheriff Department Marine Division after 21 years of service. Frank was a member of Walled Lake Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge #509 in Warren. He also was a avid golfer and coached baseball. Surviving are: his wife, Lenita; 6 children, Frank and wife Jo Schipani of White Lake Township, John and wife Patricia Schipani of Howell, Susan and husband Dennis Harner of Gainesville, FL, Ray Schipani of Nashville, TN, Sandy and husband Wayne Latta of Linden, and Pam and husband Keith Jones of Livonia; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Schipani of Grand Rapids and Anthony Schipani of Novi; and several nieces and nephews.
