Gary Alexander

ALEXANDER, Gary W. - age 71, of Holly, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society. Gary was born August 12, 1937 in Durand, the son of Dale Wilbert and Mary Louise (Candiff) Alexander. He married Darlene Murray on October 29, 1962. Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, had worked as a Car Checker for Grand Trunk Railroad and retired from the Ford Wixom plant after 30 years of service. Surviving are: wife of 45 years, Darlene; three children, Gary Dale Alexander, Dale J. (Heather) Alexander, Darlenea Alexander; six grandchildren, Christina B., Jacob M., Brittany N., Holly A., Gary J., Emily J.; sister, Darlene Dail Alexander of Novi.
