BRANDAU Jr., George Albert, age 97, of Linden, formerly of Oxbow Lake died Monday, September 8, 2008 at Argentine Care Center. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday, September 12, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St., Fenton. Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Military Honors will be performed by Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243 at church following the service. Interment in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 10AM Friday until the time of service at church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Argentine Care Facility Trust for Residents. George was born October 26, 1910 in Detroit the son of the late George and Mary (O'Connor) Albert. He married Thelma Jackson on June 14, 1939 and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2006. George graduated from Northwestern High School, Detroit in 1927 and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a part of the Hospital Corp. He was employed as a sales manager for Sun Oil Corporation until retirement in 1971. George was an avid golfer and thoroughly enjoyed living on Oxbow Lake in Oakland County. He is survived by his two daughters, Beverly Anderson and husband Dale of Charlevoix, Cynthia Springer and husband Doug of Linden; 4 grandchildren, Baylen Springer, Eric Anderson and wife Andrea, Kyrra Springer, Brandon Anderson; and great-granddaughter, Kylie Marina Anderson.
