Gerrit loved sports, enjoyed traveling and golf. His children will fondly remember all of the times he said "Remember, your Father loves you" He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Deborah (Mark), Terrance, Timothy, Wesley (Paul), Daniel (Kelly), Courtney, Catharine; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Steve (Jan) and Paul; sister, Christine (Scott).
