Harold Rainwater

RAINWATER, Harold V. "Tiny"- Age 78, of Flint, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Chaplain Lauren Cousineau officiating.  Burial immediately following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-8 PM Monday and Tuesday.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.  Mr. Rainwater was born March 16, 1930 in Flint, the son of Franklin and Carrie (Wheeler) Rainwater.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.  He married Betty J. Oldham June 13, 1953 in Flint.  He retired from GM Chevrolet in 1990 after 30 years of service.  He also was a musician for over 60 years.  Surviving are: wife, Betty; son, Ronald and wife Cheryl Cowan of Oakley; daughter, Cynthia and husband John Pierce of Owosso; 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; 2 brothers, Dewey and wife Gloria Rainwater of Sterling Heights, Delbert and wife Erna Rainwater of Pennsylvania; 2 sisters, Wanda Maroun, Patricia and husband Fred Salem both of Flint; nieces, nephews and so many loyal and devoted friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl; sister, Violet.  Online condolence and tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
