Harry PEEBLES

PEEBLES, Harry R. - Age 85, of Flushing, MI, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 peacefully at his home with his wife, Maureen at his side. He was born March 3, 1924 in Detroit, MI. He was employed by General Motors Corp., retiring in 1980 from Warren Tech Center. He came from Detroit to Flint to set up the Ternstedt Plant in 1953 and was transferred back to Detroit in 1964. He leaves his wife of 22 years, Maureen; two sons from a previous marriage, Kenneth Peebles, Dr. Douglas and wife Cora Lee Peebles. His son, Dennis preceded him in death on July 6, 2004, leaving his wife, Denise Lee and their daughter, Jordyn Peebles Lee. He also has several step-children, Laura Miller, Kathryn Levas, Timothy Rivette, Patrick and wife Mary Jo Rivette, Judy Baldwin, Francie and husband Tracy Hart; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. He was loved and cherished by all. He will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held 2PM Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
