Harvest WHATLEY

June 22, 1944 — November 15, 2009

WHATLEY, Harvest, age 65, of Flint, passed away suddenly in Alabama. Funeral Services will be 1PM Saturday, November 20, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Iman Hamin Rasool will officiate. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 6-8PM Friday and 12PM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Whatley was born June 22, 1944 the son of the late Lorenzo and Serlester (Harvey) Whatley. He married Annie L. Hicks in 1968 in New York. Mr. Whatley was born and raised in Alabama, and moved to Michigan in 1968. He was employed as a supervisor by General Motors, Buick Division until 1987. Mr. Whatley was a loving man who cared enough to be direct with people; he was not afraid to tell them how it was. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and had recently been fond of cooking, and was rather good at it. Surviving are his loving wife of 41 years, Annie; daughter, Aiesha Morris (Timothy) of Denver, CO; two sons, Tarell Whatley of Columbus, GA, Darian Whatley (Tambra) of Romulus; seven grandchildren, Briand, Javon, Sabre, Abigail, Eric, Daniel, and Hannah; two brothers, twin, Forest Whatley and Lorenzo Whatley Jr.; 4 sisters, Calatha Frazier (Willie), Carnella Jarmon (Luther), Zandra Levin (John), Serlester Williams (Eddie); special cousin, Willie Whatley and many more loving family members.
