Hazel CUMMINS

CUMMINS, Hazel Cleora, age 83, of Montrose, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00PM Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N. Saginaw St., Montrose. Fr. Paul Schwermer celebrant. Interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. The family will receive friends 11:00AM Wednesday until time of Mass at the church. Hazel was born April 28, 1929 in Clio the daughter of the late Floyd Allen and Gladys Christina (Scott) Taylor. She married Levi Glenn Cummins on September 4, 1948 in Clio and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1993. Hazel graduated in 1948 from Clio High School. She was employed for several years by Clio Rest Home as a nurse's aide. Surviving are her 4 children, Kathleen LaRock (Erwin) of Montrose, Mary Ellen Rasch (Dan) of Palmer, AK, Glen Cummins (Robin) of AZ, Alvah Cummins (Linda) of Mt. Morris; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, George Taylor of Clio, Mable Aquon (Ralph) of CA, Charles Taylor (Joyce) of TN, Gloria Hobin (Richard) of Clio, Esther Reinhart (Larry) of SC; daughter-in-law, Leona Taylor; son-in-law Ron Kildow and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Jeremy Cummins; great-grandson Doug Woodruff; brother, Donald Taylor and sister, Betty Kildow.
