Helen TAYLOR

TAYLOR, Helen M. - age 85, of Lennon, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Brian's House Hospice. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, February 24, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice or ALS Association. Mrs. Taylor was born October 2, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James F. and Mae A. (Krejsa) Urbanek. She married John M. Taylor on December 19, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2003. Mrs. Taylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. She was a registered nurse and had worked in many areas of health care. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Surviving are: son, Stephen J. (Cynthia) Taylor of Gaines; daughter, Deborah A. (Charles) Niles of Mio; three grandchildren, Douglas, Andrew and Melissa; three great-grandchildren.
