Helen Vollmayer

VOLLMAYER, Helen L. (Shrewsbury), died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at her residence. She was 86. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, she had lived most of her life in Toledo, Ohio. She also lived in Montville, New Jersey, moving the last year of her life to Flint. Helen had been employed as a Bridal Consultant with Hudson's in Toledo, Ohio, before retiring upon her move to New Jersey. She had been active over the years in garden clubs, church groups, and Habitat for Humanity. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Bernritter of Michigan; a son, David Vollmayer of New Jersey (daughter-in-law, Louise); sister-in-law, Suzanne Girkins of Toledo, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Devon, Peter, Daniel and Douglas; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2007 between 10AM and 1 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.
