Helen Wentz

WENTZ, Helen Grandison, age 87, of Fenton formerly of Keego Harbor, died Monday, December 17, at Crestmont Healthcare Center. Funeral Service will be 11AM Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian 5171 Commerce Rd., Orchard Lake. Rev. David Robertson officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM Saturday until the time of service at church. Helen was born May 25, 1920 in Wegley, Pennsylvania the daughter of David and Bessie (Drylie) Gordon. She married Stanford Edward Wentz September 9, 1942 in Tallahassee, Florida. Helen had been employed by General Motors until her retirement in 1983. She lived most of her life in Keego Harbor until moving to Fenton in 2005, and was a faithful member of Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian. Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Stanford; daughter, Stanette Wentz of Fenton; 4 sons, Stanford Wentz Jr. (Kathy) of Waterford, William Wentz (Bonnie)of Fenton, Richard Wentz (Jolene) of Lawrenceville, GA, Mark Wentz (Megan) of Waterford; 6 grandchildren, Darcy, Amy, Mitchell, William, Dawn, Jennifer and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bessie Mary Reed in 2005; 7 siblings, Alex, John, Charles, William, David, Bessie and Mary.
