Herbert FIELD

FIELD, Herbert - Age 85, of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Herbert was born December 19, 1925 in Spring Lake, NJ, the son of Joseph and Helen Rosenfield. He was a decorated combat veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Field retired from Flint Truck & Bus, where he made many friends in his years of service. He was an active member of UAW Local #598. Herbert was an avid antique collector, environmentalist and animal lover. A loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Celia; children Scott and wife Penny Field, Cynthia and husband Steve O'Neill; grandchildren, Alexander and Gwendolyn Field, Katherine and Allan O'Neill; sister-in-law, Nancy Pry; "adopted son", Gary Dill.
