ALVARADO, Irene - Age 70, of Fenton, died September 21, 2012. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association or American Heart Association. Irene was born July 16, 1942 in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of Andy and Grace (Miller) New. She was a bartender at the Village Pub in Holly and was a member of the Fenton Eagles #2460. Surviving are: children, Joy Ann Johnston of St. Charles and Michael Robert Johnston of Apache Junction, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Yvonne, Denise and Aaron Johnston; 3 great grandchildren, Anthony, Dawnna and Kellie Lynn; sister, Shirley (Willard) Anderson of Kentucky; several half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
