GILMORE, Irene L. - Age 94, of Flint, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Brian's House in Davison. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, with Pastor Drew Williams officiating. Burial immediately following at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7 PM Friday, 12:00 PM until time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to Carriage Town Ministries. Irene was born April 11, 1914 in Tennessee, the daughter of John and Nellie (Forbes) Cunningham. She retired from Swartz Creek Community School as the head Custodian. She was the 1st Female Head Custodian of school buildings in Michigan and belonged to American Federation of County Municipal Employees. Surviving are: daughter-in-law, Harriet Williams; 3 grandchildren, Dianne (David) Lawler, Drew (Mary) Williams, Bryan Williams; 10 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, William Eugene Williams; granddaughter, Danielle Miller; grandson, Dwight Eugene Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and William Collins.
